Softtop Terms and Conditions govern the use of all communication services on the platform — voice calling, SMS messaging, virtual phone numbers, SIP trunking, wholesale voice, contact center features, and AI tools. By creating an account and activating services, customers agree to these terms, which include the acceptable use policy, service level agreement, payment terms, and intellectual property provisions applicable to their subscription plan.
The acceptable use policy prohibits use of Softtop services for unsolicited communications, illegal robocalling, TCPA-violating campaigns, number spoofing, fraudulent calls, and other uses that violate US telecommunications law or the laws of the country where calls originate or terminate. Softtop monitors network traffic for patterns consistent with prohibited use and reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts engaged in prohibited activities under these terms.
Service level agreements commit to 99.999% uptime on voice services and 99.9% uptime on messaging services. Credits issue automatically for uptime shortfalls below SLA thresholds without requiring customer claims. Credit calculation methods, maximum credit amounts, and exclusion conditions are defined in the SLA section of the terms and conditions document. Enterprise customers may negotiate custom SLA terms with higher credit provisions for critical use cases.
Payment terms require monthly payment in advance for subscription plan fees. Usage-based charges — per-minute call rates, per-message SMS rates, and per-number fees beyond the plan allocation — are invoiced monthly in arrears based on actual usage. Disputed charges are addressed within 30 days of the dispute submission. Accounts that remain unpaid beyond the due date are subject to service suspension following appropriate notice as defined in the terms.
