Privacy Policy

Softtop collects personal data necessary to provide communication services — account information, phone call records, message logs, and payment information. Data collection practices comply with the General Data Protection Regulation for users in the European Economic Area, the California Consumer Privacy Act for California residents, and applicable telecommunications privacy laws in other jurisdictions where Softtop operates services.

Call recording data, voicemail recordings, and message transcripts are stored encrypted with access restricted to the account holder and authorized users within the account. Softtop personnel do not access call recordings or message content without explicit customer authorization except as required by applicable law. Data retention periods for different categories of personal data are defined in the privacy policy and configurable within the platform for call recordings and transcripts.

Users have rights to access, correct, delete, and export their personal data subject to applicable law. Data access requests are processed within the timeframes required by applicable regulation. Data deletion requests remove personal data from active systems within the same timeframe, subject to retention requirements imposed by applicable law for certain categories of communications records. All requests are handled by the Softtop privacy team.

Third-party data sharing is limited to service providers necessary to deliver the Softtop platform — cloud infrastructure providers, payment processors, and carrier interconnect partners. Softtop does not sell personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. Third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements that restrict use of data to the specific services provided to Softtop. The full list of sub-processors and data sharing arrangements is available on request from the Softtop privacy team.
